We fought countless battles with grandmothers to trade home cooked meals for a pita after school. It was not just the taste we craved but the ritual. These shared stories of youth bound us together like a secret oath, the spark of a revolution no one knew was beginning.

Souvlaqueria was born from the embers of Sunday BBQs, sweet with the aroma of fire pits, lemon, and oregano. Souvlaki invokes Greece as much as the Parthenon or Democracy. We offer a taste of tradition straight from the streets of Greece to America. We envision a stage for the celebration of Greek street food and the culinary revolution that made it a global contestant. This revolution goes beyond the poorly executed or misunderstood to honor a legacy centuries in the making.
